"Mastermind" of human trafficking gang who brought Lithuanian girls to the UK and forced into prostitution. Larcenko ran operation with his sister Rita. Rita Larcenko , 20, sentenced to 14 years for conspiracy to traffic in prostitution, conspiracy to kidnap and money laundering. Jason Tai - 15 years for conspiracy to traffic in prostitution, rape and living on prostitution Dan Ket Duong , 45, - 30 months for conspiracy to traffic in prostitution. 16-Sep-05 | CPS continues fight against sex trade traffickers | Crown Prosecution Service | "Viktoras Larcenko, the last member of a gang convicted for smuggling girls from Lithuania in 2003 and forcing them into prostitution with threats and violence. In total the gang received 51 years. So far this year the Crown Prosecution Service has prosecuted four similar human trafficking cases and seen 15 individuals convicted. The majority of cases concern trafficking into forced prostitution from Eastern Europe. Traffickers have been of Albanian, Kosovan, Macedonian and Lithuanian origin and some of the female victims are Russian, Estonian and Lithuanian. A further three cases and six defendants are awaiting trial. It is believed that human trafficking is the third most profitable activity for organised crime after drugs and arms dealing." Glasgow Hugh Neilson allegedly admitted paying for sex at sauna. Neilson found in waiting room of "sauna" during raid by police investigating sex trafficking. Neilson had been a permanent sheriff since 1996, earning £113,121 in Hamilton's children's court. He is now working for Glasgow legal firm Harper Macleod as a litigation consultant. |
