Canada an “International Embarrassment” on Sex Trafficking

40-page study, titled “Falling Short of the Mark: An International Study on the Treatment of Human Trafficking Victims” released by The Future Group, a leading Canadian non-partisan, non-governmental organization  that specializes in combating human trafficking. Canada and the United Kingdom have been singled out for failing to meet their obligations for the protection of victims of human trafficking.

Antonio Maria Costa, the executive director of the UN's office on drugs and crime  praised a Sunday Telegraph investigation that prompted government action against sex traffickers. 

Operation Pentameter, the first national initiative to tackle the trafficking and sexual exploitation of women and children into Britain, was launched by police forces last month.
