Dublin Paul Humphries, permanent resident in Cyprus has had all his bank accounts frozen by Cypriot Financial Crime Unit (MOKAS) as Ireland investigates his connection to organised prostitution in Dublin. Humphries holds a British passport, has resided in Cyprus for 6 years and owns a business there. He was arrested in March 2005 in connection with a pornography investigation and admitted holding bank accounts in Cyprus with deposits of up to 600,000 euros. Irish authorities are awaiting the results from audits made in other European countries. Humphries is currently out on a 60,000 euros bail and must sign in twice daily with Irish police. |
